The comparative chronomics group is split across multiple universities, campuses and labs. We currently operate from the Department of Medical Genetics at the University of Cambridge, and the School of Life Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). We also have lab space in the department of Cell and Developmental Biology at UCL, and our zebrafish are currently housed there.
We are always keen to have new lab members, of any age, ability or experience. If you are reading this page it is likely that you are a current or prospective student at either Cambridge, ARU or UCL.
Lab experiences as an undergraduate project student and a postgraduate research student are widely different at the above universities, but there are some commonalities.
When you have joined our group we expect you to abide by our code of conduct, as well as your own institutions rules. Some of the information will not apply to you, depending on whether you are an experimentalist or a computational biologist, where you are working, and how long you are in the lab for.
You should always try and make yourselves known to the rest of the lab group physically working in your location. They will be well placed to help you with any equipment questions and help you troubleshoot any technical problems you have.
